Protests shook Israel after the information has spread that at least four vaccinations will be needed for a ‘full vaccination’. Over the weekend marches took place in the streets of Tel Aviv against the ‘Green Passes’, that is certificates proving the holder has been fully vaccinated or recovered from COVID, which grants people access to indoor restaurants, bars, cafes and other indoor venues.
Interestingly, Israeli health minister Nitzan Horowitz was caught on a hot mic admitting that vaccine passports were primarily about coercing sceptical people to get the vaccine and not for medical reasons.
Some Internet users doubted the translation is accurate and asked others to help. All the rest of the commentators proved the corretness.
Minister of Interior asks whether it would be possible to cancel the green passport for outdoor dining given it safe (regardless of vaccine status). Minister of health says: No, we need to keep it to pressure them to vaccinate. He concludes: Otherwise we won’t get out of this
