Russian Black Sea Fleet Warships Were Raised On Alert For a Surprise Check of Combat Readiness

Warships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet enter the sea to conduct live-fire training as part of a routine combat readiness check.

The detachment includes the Admiral Makarov frigate, Grayvoron and Vyshniy Volochyok small missile ships, Samum hoverborne guided missile corvette and Ivan Golubets minesweeper.

Meanwhile, the same day the first of two US guided-missile destroyers are expected to pass through the Bosphorus into the Black Sea.

It is worth adding that the Caspian Flotilla landing ships were seen passing Russian city Rostov-on-Don during the inter-fleet transition from the Caspian Sea to Azov Sea to participate in joint exercises with the Black Sea Fleet.
