A Belgian F-16 fighter jet has crashed into a building at Leeuwarden Air Base in the Netherlands, injuring two people. The plane careered down the runway and out of control, before slamming into a building at the airbase.
According to the official statement, the incident happened on Thursday morning. As a result, two people were injured, the pilot managed to eject.
There was no fire or explosion following the incident at Leeuwarden military airbase the Dutch Air Force said.
The incident is set to be investigated by the Dutch Safety Board according to a statement made by the council.
