The 13-minute video went viral on social media showing Erdogan closing his eyes and heading to the land of nod before he shudders awake and makes his holiday wishes.
A pre-recorded Eid al-Adha video greeting from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, shows the sleepy dignitary appearing to doze off momentarily.
The footage has sparked rumours about his alleged deteriorating health, and whether he is fit for re-election in 2022.
This is not the first time that the Turkish president has been seen “catching zzzs” in public. In 2017, he also appeared to have nodded off as many as seven times at a press conference in Kiev with then Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
