Former US President Donald Trump, currently banned from Twitter and Facebook, launched a new platform that enables users to share his comments on social media.
In the section of the site “From the Desk of Donald J. Trump,” several short messages are published on behalf of Trump. The first of them is dated April 13, but the platform became available to the general public only on May 4.
Posts from the “desk” can be shared on Twitter and Facebook, but there is no option to create one’s own account or leave a comment or reply. It is unclear whether this is what Trump adviser Jason Miller had in mind when he told reporters in March that the former president would return online “with his own platform” that would “completely redefine the game.”
“It’s just one-way communication. The system allows Trump to communicate with his followers,” a source familiar with the platform told Fox News.
