Jack Dorsey, the co-founder and former CEO of Twitter, has reaffirmed his unshakable support for Bitcoin, predicting that the world’s most valued cryptocurrency will eventually replace the US dollar.
In a Twitter conversation with Grammy Award-winning rapper Cardi B, Dorsey discussed the future of the virtual currency. “Yes, Bitcoin will replace the greenback,” Dorsey said in response to her question.
The remark sparked a large response on Twitter, with Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus responding with a joke to demonstrate that the meme-based cryptocurrency is far more stable than the US dollar. Meanwhile, Bitcoin investor Dennis Porter stated that “a conversation like this was bound to happen.”
Since at least 2018, Dorsey has expressed his support for Bitcoin. “Bitcoin will unite a deeply divided country,” he tweeted in August.”
