126 Civilians Evacuated From Azovstal in Mariupol [Video]

According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, 126 civilians were evacuated from Azovstal’s industrial facilities in Mariupol on 30th April and May 1.

On the first day, April 30, 25 people from nearby houses and another 21 people from the plant’s jurisdiction evacuated the Azovstal area. All 46 people who were evacuated on the first day chose to stay in the Donetsk People’s Republic voluntarily.

On the second day of the operation, on May 1, 80 more residents were rescued from the plant’s territory by Ukrainian nationalists. Eleven persons chose to remain in the Donetsk People’s Republic on their own initiative. Sixty-nine citizens have decided to flee to the Kiev regime’s controlled territory. They were handed over to representatives from the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross, and headed in a column towards Zaporizhia.

The Russian Federation’s Armed Forces ensure the safety of a humanitarian convoy delivering civilians from the Azovstal plant’s area to territory under Kiev regime control.
