Huge Black Smoke Noticed at US Military Base in Iraq [Video]

The video filmed from a vehicle travelling along a local road in Iraq shows the black smoke stretching hundreds of metres into the sky reportedly from the Camp Victory military base situated next to the Baghdad International Airport. The base served as the headquarters of US Forces – Iraq until being transferred back to Iraqi government control in 2011. Currently, the facility continues to station American troops.

Between March 2020 and January 2021, the Trump administration whittled down the US’ military footprint in Iraq from 5,300 to 2,500 troops and expressed the desire to negotiate a possible complete withdrawal from the country. In turn, the Biden administration dismissed any talk of it.

This summer, the Iraqi government and the US signed an agreement obliging Washington to pull all combat forces out of Iraq by the end of 2021. Some Baghdad-allied Shia militias have expressed dissatisfaction with the treaty, which allows for a limited contingent of US troops to stay, and have insisted that all US personnel leave immediately.

Late last month, a US drone strike targeting Daesh-K militants responsible for the 26 August attack on the Kabul Airport ended up accidentally killing civilians, including children and an aid worker. The Taliban has warned that the US will face ‘consequences’ if its drones continue to operate illegally in Afghanistan’s airspace.

“The United States has recently violated all international law and its commitments to the Islamic Emirate in Doha, Qatar, and Afghanistan’s sacred airspace is being occupied by US drones. These violations must be corrected and prevented. We will call on all countries, especially the United States, to abide by their international commitments and laws in order to prevent any negative consequences,” the Taliban warned.

Israelis Organized Protests to Stop Green Pass Restrictions [Video]

Protests shook Israel after the information has spread that at least four vaccinations will be needed for a ‘full vaccination’. Over the weekend marches took place in the streets of Tel Aviv against the ‘Green Passes’, that is certificates proving the holder has been fully vaccinated or recovered from COVID, which grants people access to indoor restaurants, bars, cafes and other indoor venues.

Interestingly, Israeli health minister Nitzan Horowitz was caught on a hot mic admitting that vaccine passports were primarily about coercing sceptical people to get the vaccine and not for medical reasons.

Some Internet users doubted the translation is accurate and asked others to help. All the rest of the commentators proved the corretness.

UK Drivers Start to Use Cold Steel Arms Fighting for Petrol Amidst Its Shortage [Tweet, Video]

On 23 September, energy company British Petroleum announced that tens of forecourts in its 1,200-strong network were experiencing fuel shortages, as well as Tesco and Esso that reported, some of their sites were also affected. The Petrol Retailers Association (PRA) reported on Monday that as many as two-thirds of its nearly 5,500 independent outlets were now out of fuel. Others were “partly dry and running out soon”. The same stance was echoed by UK government ministers and oil companies, such as Shell, ExxonMobil and Greenergy.

The huge mess caused by the lack of petroleum in stations provoked people to act in hurry and created a panic in society. One of the petrol mess’ side-effects was a case with a driver who pulled a knife on another one. The video shows a man with a knife arguing with a driver and repeatedly kicking his car. Moments later the car collides with the man and throws him onto the car’s bonnet. This doesn’t stop him and even after he continues his attacks.

“Police were called at 14:37 on Monday, 27 September to report an altercation between two motorists outside a petrol garage at Bellegrove Road in Welling. Officers rushed in and found no trace of any vehicle. No one was reported injured and no suspects were identified,” Metropolitan Police spokesperson said as quoted by the Granthshala News.

To solve the problem of petrol shortage, the British army could soon deploy its own fuel tankers with the aim of filling a major logistics gap. This is according to the UK Defence Secretary Ben Wallace on Monday night, with the government stating that army tanker drivers would receive specialized training to “enable them to seamlessly work with industry to address the supply chain pressures”, RT reports.

“The men and women of our armed forces stand ready to alleviate the transport pressures where they are felt most. That is why I have authorised their increased preparedness so they are ready to respond if needed,” he said.

Cabinet ministers had assembled on Monday to consider measures to remedy the situation amid calls to provide ambulance drivers, healthcare staff and other essential workers priority access to fuel. Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng emphasized it was right for the UK government to take “sensible, precautionary steps”.

“The UK continues to have strong supplies of fuel. However, we are aware of supply chain issues at fuel station forecourts and are taking steps to ease these as a matter of priority. If required, the deployment of military personnel will provide the supply chain with additional capacity as a temporary measure to help ease pressures caused by spikes in localised demand for fuel,” said he.

The German Chancellor candidate to take over from outgoing Angela Merkel, Olaf Scholz, has blamed post-Brexit fallout, such as the decision to end freedom of movement with Europe, for Britain’s current petrol crisis.

“The free movement of labour is part of the European Union, and we worked very hard to convince the British not to leave the union,” said the politician.

He also suggested the British government might need to consider levels of pay and conditions of employment in the trucking industry.

“It might have something to do with the question of wages… If you understand that being a trucker is really something which many people like to be and you don’t find enough, this has something to do with working conditions and this is something that has to be thought about,” said Scholz.

As stated in Sputnik, dismissing the claims that Brexit was to blame for the crisis, UK Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said Europe’s driver shortage was no more evident than Britain’s.

The leader of the Federation of Dutch Trade Unions (FNV) Edwin Atema said Europe’s drivers don’t want to return to the UK to help the country get out of the situation.

“The EU workers we speak to will not go to the UK for a short-term visa to help the UK get out of the s*** they created for themselves. It’s not like offering a visa… and the issue will be solved. Drivers need way more than a visa and a pay slip,” Atema said.

Atema adds that drivers from across Europe have lost trust in the industry.

“Long before coronavirus and Brexit this industry was sick already, plagued by exploitation… which ended up with drivers voting with their feet and leaving,” he admits.

In support of the drivers spoke out a British Conservative MP for Wokingham John Redwood.

USA Praises ‘Historic Free Flight Test’ of Raytheon’s Hypersonic Missile Prototype [Tweet]

The US military secretive R&D wing has announced a successful flight test for a hypersonic missile system developed by Raytheon. According to the Defense, Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), the free-flight launch for the Hypersonic Air-breathing Weapon Concept (HAWC) was conducted successfully last week and met all primary test objectives.

As stated by Andrew Knoedler, the Head of the HAWC programme in DARPA Tactical Technology Office, the test “was a successful demonstration of the capabilities that will make hypersonic cruise missiles a highly effective tool for our warfighters”. The agency said the HAWC system can“strike targets much more quickly than subsonic missiles due to its speed and manoeuvrability, and can inflict significant damage through kinetic energy alone, even without high explosives.

Though much about HAWC’s development is classified and remains shrouded in secrecy, a DARPA source told Air Force Magazine in December that the Lockheed test did not go well. Media reports last year also suggested that a HAWC prototype was destroyed after falling from a B-52 bomber carrying it during a test flight. DARPA’s Monday press release referred only to Raytheon’s variant for the HAWC system, leaving it unclear where Lockheed’s design made any progress since last winter.

It is noted that the US has boosted the development of hypersonic tech after Moscow unveiled a whole range of advanced weaponry in 2018. Russia has since become the first nation in the world to have deployed a hypersonic glide vehicle into service. The Avangard can be carried by RS-18A and prospective RS-28 Sarmat ICBMs to deliver both nuclear and conventional payloads. Moreover, now Moscow says it is fully aware that other nations are hastily designing their own hypersonic weapons and is absolutely ready to repel any kind of attack both now and in the future.

Explosion in Swedish City Caused Over 20 People Injured [Tweet, Video]

An explosion in a Swedish second-largest city scared citizens today at 5 am local time. Over 20 people have been reportedly taken to the hospital, some of them seriously injured after the accident in the Annadel district in central Gothenburg. Also, a major evacuation was ordered from the building with over a hundred residents taken to safety.

Around 50 firefighters from seven nearby stations were deployed to the scene and people in the area were warned to close their windows and stay inside due to the heavy smoke. The cause of the explosion has not yet been identified.

“We will wait until the rescue service assesses it safely on the spot. Then we will perform a technical investigation to determine what caused the explosion,” police spokesman Hans-Jörgen Ostler commented.

After the initial explosion, fires broke out in several buildings.

“Hundreds have been evacuated, people have also jumped out of windows and landed in the courtyard”, the operations manager at the rescue service, Jon Pile, told national broadcaster SVT.

As Reuters reports, local police don’t believe the explosion could be caused by natural reasons.

“We believe something has exploded that is not of natural causes,” Police spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg told adding that something had ‘probably’ been placed at the site of the explosion.

Afghan Barbers Banned From Beards Trimming [Tweet]

The Taliban movement that came to power in Afghanistan last month, introduced a ban on shaving and trimming the beards of Afghan men, in accordance with Sharia law. Local authorities reportedly said, the restrictions currently apply to the rest of the country, though first they were introduced only in one province.

Previously, Afghan residents have already complained that the rules have affected their businesses in a negative way, as customers don’t shave their beards ‘intending to blend in and look like Taliban members’. An owner of a barber chain claimed that he received a call from someone who introduced himself as an official and who told him not to ‘follow American styles’ and to stop shaving and trimming beards.

“The fighters keep coming and ordering us to stop trimming beards. One of them told me they can send undercover inspectors to catch us,” another barber from Kabul said.

This will eventually cause the closure of the barber industry. The situation is already going this way, as a large number of barbershops across the country have reportedly closed due to the new rules of the Taliban.

Two Students Harassed for Being White in Arizona [Video]

The students of the Arizona State University were asked to leave the school’s multicultural centre because of their skin colour. One more reason was that one of them had a sticker on his laptop expressing support for the police. Thus, the students were told, they were making the space ‘uncomfortable’.

After they insisted that the space was a ‘multicultural’ centre, they were confronted with the ‘genius’ thought that multiculturalism means no white people.

“White is not a culture!… This white man thinks he can take up our space and this is why we need a multicultural space because they think they can get away with this shit!” the female student exclaimed.

The white students were made to leave, prompting Rep. Paul Gosar to assert that the incident represented a ‘racist attack on these peaceful students sitting at a study table minding their business’ and should be investigated.

However, when a GoFundMe page was set up to support the victims, the fundraising platform banned it and claimed that the page violated its rules which forbids content ‘in support of hate, violence, harassment, bullying, and discrimination’, even though it was exactly the white guys who were harassed for their skin colour.

“GoFundMe has removed my campaign to raise funds for the two hero students at ASU who were viciously attacked for being white,” the Libs of Tik Tok account tweeted after over $3,000 dollars had been raised.

Indian Farmers Oppose Reforms Threatening Their Livelihoods [Video]

Indian farmers opposed reforms which, according to them, threaten their livelihoods. Today, they pushed against the changes with nationwide protests, as it was this day a year ago when the laws on the liberalisation of the sector were introduced.

For 10 months, tens of thousands of farmers have camped out on major highways around New Delhi to oppose the laws in the longest-running growers’ protest against Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s government. In Noida, a New Delhi satellite town, farmers confronted police and pushed past them to break through barricades. In Gurgaon farmers thronged onto a road and blocked traffic, while protesters stormed into a railway station in the northern outskirts of New Delhi, according to witnesses.

This month, more than 500,000 farmers attended a rally in the most populous state of Uttar Pradesh, the biggest yet in the protest campaign, to step up pressure on Modi’s administration to repeal the laws, as The Kathmandu Post reports.

The legislation, introduced in September last year, deregulates the agriculture sector and allows farmers to sell products to buyers beyond government-regulated wholesale markets, where growers are assured of a minimum price. Small farmers say the changes make them vulnerable to competition from big businesses. To date, nearly a dozen opposition parties have already supported the farmers’ protest to repeal the laws.

US Activists Flooded ‘Vaccinated-Only’ Food Court, Protesting Against Vaccine Passports [Video]

A crowd of about 60 people went into the Food District area at the Staten Island Mall on Saturday in a protest against the New York city vaccine mandate. Dozens of vaccine-passport protesters managed to get food and eat inside the food court without being asked to provide any proof of vaccination, although the place has a vaccinated-only policy.

The activists can be seen on the video getting into the building of the food court without any resistance from either security or staff despite a sign at the entrance warning diners that they must be vaccinated to enter the court. The protesters then took seats and food shouting “USA!” and “f**k Joe Biden”. One of the activists was also showing his T-shirt with the text “Trump Won” on it.

One of the leaders of the protest said, the vaccine is not something reliable, claiming that he would not like a pregnant wife to take it. He compared vaccination nowadays with buying a new car and not even waiting a year to see if it’s a good product, immediately promoting it here and there. His thought he concluded with words, “My body, my choice.”

Gangsters Dressed as Lawyers Opened Fire at Hearing in Delhi Courtroom [Video]

On Friday, Jitender Gogi, a notorious gangster who had been jailed since 2020, was brought to a hearing in north Delhi, India. On his arrival, gunmen from the rival gang (the Tillu), entered the courtroom dressed as lawyers and opened fire on Gogi. A mafia boss has died in hospital.

Special-forces personnel who had been escorting Gogi fired back at the two gunmen, killing them on the spot. According to Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana, a third person had also died in the shootout. Though different reports vary, it is clear, at least six more people, including a female lawyer, were injured. The shooting has raised questions about security protocols at India’s courts.

Outraged New Yorker Tore Down Subway Posters Promoting ‘Sexual Promiscuity’ [Video]

Footage out of a New York subway car shows a woman tearing down ads promoting propaganda being in deep concern about how this could impact children. The ads for online dating app OkCupid pictured people and moto promoting sexual promiscuity and the LGBTQ movement. While tearing down the posters woman was warning people not to let this to be normalized and not to act as if nothing happens.

“Gross, all this is gross. I mean, for kids to be looking at this, is that ok?” the woman asks people around her.

“They’re coming for your children folks,” a man helping her tear down the posters says.

In responses to the video on Twitter, users also shared other OkCupid ads promoting one-night stands and dating only people with left-leaning ideologies.

At Least 1 Dead and 12 Injured After ‘Active Shooting’ in Tennessee Supermarket [Video]

The shooting in the Tennessee ‘Kroger’ grocery store caused one person’s death, while thirteen others are hospitalised. According to local media reports, the shooting started at about 1:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon. The shooter is also dead, possibly of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His body was found at the rear of the store with his car was parked in the parking lot.

Some videos on social media confused Internet users when showed a person standing on the roof of the store with his arms raised as police arrived. First, people were sure it was the shooter, but later police confirmed he was a store employee who was working on the roof when the shooting started.

In addition, it was reported that nearby Collierville High School had been placed on lockdown. The investigation was said to be taken by state and federal police agencies.
